Since the launch of Nintendo's incredibly popular NES Classic Edition, which bundles 30 NES games in a package that you can hook up to a modern TV, it's been incredibly hard to come by. You might have figured that would work itself over time, as Nintendo produced more. Instead, Nintendo is doing the opposite and straight up cancelling the NES Classic Edition, effective this month.Here's Nintendo's statement on the matter:

The optional controller is being discontinued, as well."NES Classic Edition wasn't intended to be an ongoing, long-term product," a Nintendo representative told IGN. "However, due to high demand, we did add extra shipments to our original plans."I wouldn't be surprised if this is a temporary pause, and we suddenly hear Nintendo's releasing a new batch of them in time for the holidays.
